How to Expand Your Direct to Consumer Business

Sarah came on to the show today unsure of the next steps to take in her small business. Natalie and Tara started out by asking Sarah what her overarching goals were, then worked backward from there. Once they determined that expanding her product line was the best route moving forward, they dove into the details on how to engage Sarah’s audience to help with the process.

Product and service expansion is important in every small business. The goal is to provide as much value to your customers without spreading yourself too thin. Sarah, Natalie, and Tara thought of options that wouldn’t take much additional effort, just some extra planning, like offering an expanded milk line. Then, to ensure Sarah was on the right track, she would engage her audience to help determine the flavors to execute.

Once there was a plan in place, Natalie checked in with Sarah to give her a gentle reminder that clarity comes through action. You can’t be afraid to make big moves in your business because not everything is a million-dollar idea but you have to try a million things to find that idea. These masterminds are powerful because you see entrepreneurs taking action in their businesses.
